Canada Day Celebration in North York

Join John as the City celebrates Canada Day with a fantastic party in our own Mel Lastman Square.  Free face-painting by Picasso Painters will be available from 5 to 8 p.m. Zero Gravity Circus presents its Open Air Big Top, featuring aerial acrobats at 5, 6 and 7 p.m. Juno-award-nominated reggae artist Jay Douglas and the Allstars will perform at 8 p.m., followed by the salsa group, Toronto’s Lula All Stars at 9:15 p.m. The celebration will conclude with fireworks at 10:15 p.m.  For more information, click here.

City of Toronto’s parks, beaches, outdoor swimming pools, wading pools and splash pads are open on Canada Day. Indoor pools and community centres will be closed. More information and swimming pool schedules are available at http://www.toronto.ca/swim.

A reminder that members of the public are not allowed to light fireworks or consume alcohol in City of Toronto parks. More information is available athttp://www.toronto.ca/parks.
