Improving our public transit network is a vital priority for all residents in Toronto and a critical part of reducing the traffic gridlock we face every day in Willowdale. Making real progress requires the cooperation of three levels of government: municipal, provincial and federal.
On Thursday, June 2, 2016, our elected representatives from these three levels of government come together to discuss their efforts towards achieving a better transit future and get your feedback on what’s ahead, including:
- Changes to the City’s priority transit plans and other regional projects
- Transit infrastructure projects currently underway
- Expected impacts of transit planning on our community
- Changes to transit fare structures
On the panel, John will be joined by Ali Ehsassi (Member of Federal Parliament), and David Zimmer (member of Provincial Parliament). John is also pleased to include Hilary Holden, Director of Transit & Sustainable Transportation, City Planning Division, City of Toronto.
This first event in what we hope will become a series takes place at 7 PM in the Council Chamber of the North York Civic Centre (5100 Yonge Street).
Questions to the panel can be submitted at the event through the moderators, or in advance using Twitter hashtag #WillowdaleForum
