H.E.L.P. Now Available in Ward 23

The City of Toronto’s Home Energy Loan Program (HELP) is a new financing tool to help you improve your home’s energy efficiency and save money.  Low interest loans are available to qualifying homeowners who are interested in energy and water efficiency.

Through HELP, the City will provide the funding required to complete the improvements and the homeowner will repay the City over time through installments on their property tax bill.  The potential savings you may realize will help to offset the cost of your monthly repayments.  Meanwhile, your home can be more comfortable and contribute fewer harmful emissions to the environment.

HELP was launched as a 3 year pilot program in 2014 in limited parts of the City. Starting this year, the pilot has been expanded to cover areas with postal codes starting with M2N and M2M.  If you are living in these neighbourhoods and are interested in learning more about the HELP program or to submit an application, visit the HELP website or e-mail homeenergyloan@toronto.ca.  At the conclusion of the pilot the City will make a decision on rolling out the program across the City.
