At its recent meeting, City Council voted on a series of regulations which legalized private transportation companies (PTCs) such as UBER.  John supported all recommendations relating to establishing a new PTC class in the City’s licensing system.

In 2015, Nuit Blanche will be extending its reach to North York with the installation of internationally acclaimed artist JR’s INSIDE OUT. Fall/Winter 2015/16 FUN Guide is now available online on the City’s website, and printed copies available at civic centres, community centres and libraries. Fall/Winter registration will start in North York on September 17.  There are several ways to register:

Online Registration begins at 7:00am on the registration start date. Please note that Toronto FUN Online is not available from 4:00am to 7:00am daily. During peak registration days, the system is shut down from 12:00am to 7:00am.

A note to all residents who planned on joining us for the outdoor movie night scheduled for this evening, we have been forced to cancel the event due to weather.  As the inflatable screen must be up for several hours, and several thunderclouds are tracking in from the northwest, we cannot be sure that the equipment will stay dry thoughout the evening.

Please consider joining us for our final film of the season, Disney Pixar’s Brave, showing Friday, September 11 in Gwendolen Park.

Edithvale Movie Night – Rain or Shine – August 18

The final night of our Edithvale film series is set to go tonight and will be rain or shine!  Weather permitting, we will fire up the outdoor bake oven in Edithvale Park (131 Finch Ave W) and volunteers will start preparing samples of fresh wood baked pizza at 7 PM.  Be ready for a good time!  In addition to the snacks, you’ll catch a free concert performed by Park Eddy on the outdoor stage.
