FreeCommunity Environment Days are held every year from April to September to help reduce the amount of reusable, recyclable or household hazardous waste going into landfill.
During Environment Day at Centerpoint Mall, you can bring a variety of items to safely dispose of.
These items include cell phones and small electronics; household hazardous waste; paints, solvents and glue; unused medications, batteries, E-cigarettes, propane tanks, pesticides and fertilizers; fluorescent bulbs, and used cooking oil.
You can also donate items in good condition for reuse, including sporting goods; arts and crafts supplies; books (excluding textbooks; cameras, CDs and cases; dress-up clothing and costume jewelry; clothing and linens; small household items; musical instruments and board games; eyeglasses, walking aids and hearing aids; and non-perishable foods.
While at the event, you can pick up a leaf compost for free! (While supplies last).
