Willowdale Community Skating Day

I have partnered with ice rink coordinators and local community associations for a community skating day. Join me on the next TDSB PD Day, February 14, to skate at Willowdale's four natural ice rinks. As long as the weather cooperates, the rinks will be operational from 2-5 PM, and I will visit them all. Everyone is welcome to join the parade from rink to rink, or skate at the rink closest to your home! Caregiver Workshop 2020 Series

To take care of a person requires time, dedication, attention and commitment. It is too much love involved, but the daily duty sometimes can be overwhelming regardless of the age of the caregiver or the assisted one. Rebel House: A Spoken Word and Food Experience

Join spoken word artist extraordinaire Patrick de Belen and performers from Up From The Roots and BAM! Toronto Youth Poetry Slam for an unforgettable evening of performances in the candlelit rooms of Gibson House. BCNA Breakfast Club Event For Willowdale Seniors

Working towards inclusiveness and social participation of our seniors, the Bayview Cummer Neighbourhood Association (BCNA) has been hosting several events aimed at seniors in our community. These events are part of The Willowdale Senior's Breakfast Club & Skills Development Initiative which have been made possible through a grant the BCNA received from the Provincial Government. The fourth Willowdale Senior's Event will be an Art Workshop. Artist Dianne Hunter from the Willowdale Group of Artists will lead the workshop. This lecture discusses key American Abstract Expressionist artists, such as Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko and Barnett Newman in relation to European pre-war abstraction. It will also explain their technical innovations, challenges abstraction poses to the viewer as well as the political appropriation of this art form as a vehicle of cultural propaganda.
