The tragic event that took place on April 23rd, 2018 will forever be remembered as the “Toronto Van Attack.” One of the victims was Anne Marie D’Amico whose life was violently and unexpectedly taken. She was an inspiring woman who led by example and influenced positive change through her unselfish acts of kindness. Inspired by Anne Marie’s character and in remembrance of her spirit, the D’Amico family launched the Anne Marie D’Amico Foundation to promote positive change by working with the community and like-minded individuals to support the end of violence against women. Hogmanay and Hygge: A Candlelit Evening Experience at Gibson House Museum

BCNA Breakfast Club for Seniors

Bayview Cummer Neighbourhood Association is holding its inaugural Seniors Breakfast Club on December 6 at St. John's Anglican Church. The club is designed to provide information on resources and services available to seniors in the community from within the Bayview Cummer community, as well as from the different levels of government and government agencies. This is an opportunity for seniors to meet other seniors and to connect with each other in hopes of addressing social isolation. This event will include coffee, tea, and snacks.


Holiday Movie Night: Home Alone

Get into the holiday spirit by decorating a gingerbread cookie and baking a traditional recipe in the historic kitchen. Gather in the parlour with a shortbread cookie and warm apple cider for a reading of the classic tale, "A Visit from St. Nicholas.” Try out the many toys Victorian children would have received Christmas morning, and explore the historic house bedecked in greenery and cheerful ribbons.
