Notice: TTC Subway Emergency Simulation

On Sunday, January 12 from 4 AM to 7 AM, the TTC and Emergency Response Services will be conducting a Subway Emergency Simulation at Finch Station and the Emergency Subway Exit Building on Church Avenue south of Finch Station. Subway service from Finch Station will begin at 7:56 AM to Lawrence Station.

Starting at approximately 5:45 AM, 300 participants in passenger roles will begin to be evacuated from a train to a place of safety – the Church Avenue Emergency Exit. Activity during this simulation will be apparent at street level. A mega-phone may be used intermittently (inside the station) during the exercise.

TTC staff will be present at street level to notify and speak to pedestrians.

Note: During the same weekend (January 11-12), there will be no subway service between Sheppard and St Clair stations for track maintenance. A frequent shuttle bus service will operate on Yonge Street between the two stations, stopping at Sheppard, York Mills, Lawrence, Eglinton, Davisville and St Clair stations. Regular subway service from Finch Station resumes on Monday, January 13 at 5:31 AM.
